The BFA dance degree is designed to prepare students for a performance career by training for various skills in multiple techniques, performing in BSU Theatre and Dance productions, and participating in external high impact performance opportunities. All BFA students are required to take beginner technique courses in all styles, Dance History courses, Improvisation, Choreography courses, and complete a Senior Capstone.
The Commercial Dance Concentration will particularly hone in on developing skills in the areas of Hip-hop, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre Dance, and Commercial Dance, with further emphasis on training for the camera.
